Frequently asked questions.

Does the gate work without an Internet connection?

Yes. With the Insmartia controller, every receipt is validated in the store itself. The Internet is only used for remote management, updates and sending events, which sync when the connection comes back.

What happens if the power goes off?

The gate opens automatically on power failure so it never blocks the way out.

Does it comply with evacuation rules?

The gate opens automatically on power failure to support evacuation. Compliance of each premises with CTE DB-SI 3, the Spanish building code section on evacuation, is approved by the engineer responsible for the project, with whom we review the evacuation route.

What is the clear width?

The single model, with one post, gives 900 mm of clear width. The double model, with two posts, gives 1750 mm. The overall width can be adapted at the factory.

Is it safe for children and shopping trolleys?

It has anti-trap protection and obstacle detection along the arm’s path, and the opening and closing speed is adjustable.

How does it open?

As standard, automatically by radar, with a push button or with a remote control. With the Insmartia controller, it can also open with single-use QR or barcode receipts validated locally.

Can I use the gates I already have?

In many cases, yes. The Insmartia controller is designed to work with gates from different manufacturers. We check this during the site survey.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the number of lanes, the version, the finish and the authorisation method. Use the configurator and we will send you a fixed quote for the equipment. Installation is quoted separately.
